It's built with multiple layers of dyed birch wood, often in rainbow or bold color combinations, laminated together and sculpted into the iconic SG shape. This construction results in a distinctive look and, surprisingly, can enhance the guitar's sustain and resonance. 

Body Construction:
The Zoot Suit SG body is made from multiple thin layers of dyed birch wood, glued together to form a solid block. This process creates a visually striking finish, where the different layers of wood are visible. 

Neck:
The neck is made of mahogany, a traditional choice for Gibson guitars, and is fitted with an ebony fingerboard. 

Electronics:
The Zoot Suit SG often features ceramic humbucker pickups, which are known for their powerful and bright sound. 

Hardware:
The guitars usually feature Grover Rotomatic tuners, a Tune-O-Matic bridge, and a Stopbar tailpiece. 

Unique Features:
The Zoot Suit SG has a 17-degree headstock angle, which increases string pressure and contributes to better sustain. The neck profile is a traditional rounded profile, known for its comfortable feel and speed.
