Vintage original circa 1973 Gibson J-55.
Starting in 1973, Gibson reissued the Jumbo 55 (produced from 1939 to 1943) as the J-55 with laminated mahogany back and sides. The J-55 was like the J-45 and J-50 of this era in its square-shoulder body.
This example sounds and plays great and it is beat and sweet. It has a professionally repaired headstock, a really great job, and some repaired cracks as well. The binding has been replaced around the edges, too. Priced accordingly.
Tone is out of this world. A real great sounding guitar, perfect for recording.
