Purchased directly from the original owner....an all original, and very well cared for 1959 Gretsch Model 6131 Jet Firebird.

Stunning Red intro finish is remarkably bright and vibrant.    

Original PAF Filtertron pickups sound remarkably warm and thick and full of vintage tone.   Some of the best pickups ever made.    These are the early PAF's prior to the Patent Number pickups.  

All wiring is original with the original Model tag inside the control cavity.

There is some signs of binding shrinkage, common on any one of these of this age.   One of the pickup rings has a crack in it.   Some minor scratches and sings of use, but generally VERY clean. 

Light and resonant. 

Neck is straight with a good low action all the way up and down and no buzz or issues.    Just set up here at the shop so she's ready to roll.

A perfect example for the player and collector alike.

Comes with original vintage deluxe Gretsch hardshell case, too.
