1966 Gretsch Chet Atkins 6120 Western Orange
$ 3,695.00
Vintage original 1966 Gretsch Chet Atkins 6120 in original Western Orange.
A real nice and clean all original example with not too much wear to it, a nice straight neck, and superb playability, action and tone.
Features a 16-inch wide, hollow-body design featuring a thinline maple body, simulated ("fake") painted f-holes, and a vibrant orange finish.
Filter'Tron pickups, a Bigsby vibrato, a double-cutaway design, thumbnail fretboard inlays, and a 24.5-inch scale length, ideal for rockabilly and country and rock and roll.
Original Filtertron pickups are remarkably warm. Pete Townshend used one similar to this to record Who's Next and you can hear it. Plug it into a Magnatone amp and you have the tone.
Comes with a newer Gretsch hardshell case.
