A W-50 is a vintage, high-end Japanese dreadnought-style acoustic guitar from the 1970s, often compared to Martin guitars for its sound and construction. 

Key features include a solid spruce top, a three-piece rosewood and figured maple back, rosewood sides, a mahogany neck, and a rosewood fingerboard with intricate inlays. 

It has a very rich, powerful, and well-balanced tone with clear highs and strong bass.   A wonderful recording guitar, hard to beat for the price point.
