Earthquaker Devices Chelsea blue
$ 179.00
Whether you’re bringing out the funk or melting faces with scorching lead work, let the EarthQuaker Devices Chelsea low-end fuzz driver pedal be your foundation. The Chelsea draws inspiration from a modified variant of the go-to classic fuzz box that has been used on bass tracks throughout LCD Soundsystem’s discography. James Murphy, LCD Soundsystem front man and prominent electronic musician, reached out to EarthQuaker Devices to build a more robust, tour-grade version of his beloved fuzz pedal, the fruits of which resulted in the Chelsea. Versatile Level, Tone, and Sustain controls let you dial anything from a classic overdrive crunch to heavily saturated gain, extended low end, and everything in between with ease. Guitarists and bassists alike can find a sonic home in the EarthQuaker Devices Chelsea pedal.
Huge, expressive sound
Inside this modest, tank-like enclosure are three wide-sweeping, expressive controls that cover all the bases for gain and dynamics. For starters, boosting the Level control wakes up your amp with a volume boost and classic overdrive. Dialing in the Sustain control extends the fuzz sound into an in-your-face sonic wall that makes Sweetwater guitar players grin from ear to ear with the amount of time it holds single notes. Further tone sculpting is possible with the Tone control, ranging from deep bass to aggressive highs. Finally, the Tone control can be removed from the signal path entirely with the on/off mini toggle switch to send a more focused attack with extra midrange.
