Vintage original circa 1966 Hagstrom 8 String Bass.
These basses are classic vintage from Sweden from the 1960s.
Original Sunburst finish.
Has a nice straight neck that plays well all the way up and down. Has a real unique bass sound, like a 12 string guitar - an 8 string bass.
This example features a Gibson EB-0 Bass pickup in the neck position, which makes for a real nice fat tone. The bridge pickup is original and is much brighter, and lighter.
Light and resonant body, easy to hold.
A few changed tuners, all working well. Bass stays in tune well.
Honest signs of wear and age throughout.
Comes with original hardshell case.
